- 1X2
- A betting market where you choose either the home team to win (1), a draw (X), or the away team to win (2).
- Accumulator
- A single bet that combines multiple selections; all must win for you to get a payout.
- Asian Handicap
- A point-spread bet that gives one team a virtual advantage or disadvantage to eliminate the draw.
- Bankroll
- The total money you have set aside for placing bets.
- Bet Builder
- A tool that lets you combine several markets from one match into a single wager.
- Bet Slip
- The record that lists the selections you have made and the amount you wish to stake.
- Bookmaker
- The company that sets the odds and accepts bets from customers.
- Cash Out
- An option to settle your bet early, locking in a profit or limiting a loss before the match ends.
- Correct Score
- A bet on the exact final score of a match.
- Double Chance
- A bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match (e.g., home win or draw).
- Goal Line
- A line set for the total number of goals in a match, similar to Over/Under.
- Half-Time/Full-Time
- A market where you predict both the result at half‑time and the final result.
- Hedge
- A strategy of placing bets on opposite outcomes to reduce risk or guarantee a profit.
- In-Play
- Bets that can be placed after the match has started.
- Juice
- The commission a bookmaker includes in the odds, often called the vig.
- Line Movement
- A change in the odds or spread after they were first posted, often due to betting activity.
- Live Betting
- Another name for In‑Play betting, allowing you to wager while the game is happening.
- Odds
- The number that shows how likely an outcome is and determines how much you can win.
- Over/Under
- A bet on whether the total number of goals (or points) in a match will be higher or lower than a set figure.
- Parlay
- A type of accumulator, especially used in US markets, where multiple picks must all win.
- Payout
- The total amount you receive when a bet wins, including your profit.
- Spread
- The line a bookmaker sets to balance the chance of two outcomes.
- Stake
- The amount of money you risk on a single bet.
- Steam
- A rapid and large shift in odds caused by heavy betting on one side.
- Value Bet
